About Solveig

Solveig grew up in the real estate industry. Her father was a Real Estate Broker and home builder in South Central Wisconsin from 1979-2017. She was born and raised in Stoughton and Fitchburg, graduated from Verona Area High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science & French from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. She loves working in real estate - getting to meet and develop life-long friendships with so many different people of different backgrounds and interests. She especially loves working with first-time homebuyers and getting to be a part of their excitement to be in their very first home! Solveig recently built a home in Stoughton where she lives with her husband, Jonathan, daughter, Eowyn, French Bulldog, Elphie & Maine Coon, Stella! In her "free" time, she enjoys being out on pontoon on Lake Kegonsa; canoeing the rivers & creeks around Dane & Rock County; reading, especially for her two book clubs; practicing yoga; singing in her husband’s choir; and exploring Madison-area parks & attractions with her very busy little one.

"Our house buying/selling journey was one week short of a year long. A year ago, Clayton Rd needed a new kitchen floor and we didn’t know how much we should invest in it if we were going to sell it in the next few years. We reached out to Alison Crim at Husky Homes early last January to get advice on what type of investment to make in our Clayton Road property to help sell it. We were on lockdown at the time, and she gave us advice based on a video walk-through. She came back with some recommendations for what to invest in and prices we could potentially get based on our doing or not doing those renovations.

Nothing much happened for a couple of months until Solveig also of Husky Homes contacted us because she had a client who was potentially interested in a mid century modern fixer-upper. Alison remembered our house and thought it would be a good candidate. Even though our house wasn’t the perfect match for that client, by then the market was really starting to heat up, and Alison and Solveig thought we could sell without renovating. But to list it, we needed to empty it, and to empty it, we needed to buy a new home, so we took the plunge, got pre-qualified for a mortgage on a new home and started our search.

Solveig Schroerlucke started to show us homes in early May. She was so patient with us as we struggled to find the perfect house. We looked at houses all over Dane County, new homes, old homes, fancy homes and plain homes. She helped us submit offers on a few that didn’t pan out, and ultimately helped us write the offer that got accepted on our new home.

Once we were in our new house, we started to get the old house ready to show. Everyone we worked with at this point was 100% top-notch Solveig recommended some excellent house painters who painted the inside of the house lightning quick. Alison found a stager that brought the perfect furniture and accessories to make our house look like a photo spread from a fancy magazine. Because they had to work with me, Alison and Solveig had to answer a million questions, listen to more than a few rants and talk me off more than a few ledges. And because they had to deal with Willard Einhorn they had to….deal with Willard Einhorn. 51 weeks later, the journey is complete. We closed on Clayton Rd today…and we never did replace that kitchen floor.
