Sona has had an extremely successful career in real estate and brings a wealth of experience, knowledge and professionalism to her career. She began selling real estate at C.S. McClellan Real Estate, a family owned boutique firm, in Pelham, NY, over 30 years ago. She quickly became the manager and then purchased the company directly from the McClellan family. With over 30 agents on board, the office was invited to join the Sotheby’s brand in 2008 and in 2021 her entire office was offered a partnership with Compass, the nation’s #1 independently owned brokerage and the top firm in Manhattan. Compass has skyrocketed to the top of the real estate industry in 12 short years surpassing all of the old giants. They are modernizing the industry and have attracted the top 10% of agents across the Country. Sona is thrilled to pair her extensive local expertise, experience and professionalism with a dynamic high-tech high-touch platform to elevate what it means to buy and sell real estate in 2026 and beyond. Sona is a trained expert and savvy negotiator and has broken the record twice for listing and selling the highest priced home ever brokered in Pelham.  She also sold the highest priced home in New Rochelle in 2023 and the highest priced home in Larchmont in 2022. She is a luxury specialist, has received many awards for her achievements in the industry and is consistently among the top realtors in the Town. She enjoys educating her buyers on the very competitive buying process and how to succeed in a sellers market and she is very successful at helping sellers understand the market, prepare their home for the best possible sale and relocate to their next destination. She also has substantial experience in real estate development, most recently on City Island where she successfully spearheaded a 43-unit waterfront condo project. She is currently the exclusive agent for "The Fairchild," 3 historic rental buildings with 33 units in Pelham, NY.

Sona was born and raised in Manhattan. She holds a BA in Psychology from Mount Holyoke College and a Master’s Degree in Psychiatric Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania - a background that has served her well in her real estate career.  Sona and her husband, Richard, raised their 3 daughters in Pelham and they all attended the Pelham schools. Sona and Richard have been extremely involved in the community, volunteering extensively in Pelham’s schools, charities, cultural organizations and social activities. They are active investors in the real estate market with a portfolio of investment properties. Sona has held many board positions and leadership roles. She was recognized as a "Woman of Distinction" by Assemblywoman Amy Paulin and County Legislator Jim Masiano and in 2025 she was honored as the "Person of the Year" by The Danny Fund for her contributions to that charity which provides financial, emotional and advocacy support for children with catastrophic illness or injury.

She enjoys playing tennis, paddle, bicycling, traveling, cooking and, most importantly, spending time with her family and friends.

She is a member of The National Association of Realtors, the New York State Association of Realtors, Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors (past board member) and One Key Multiple Listing Service.
