Sonya Franklin brings a thoughtful, integrity-driven approach to real estate—shaped by decades of professional excellence, deep community roots, and firsthand experience navigating corporate relocations across the country.

Since graduating from Penn State, Sonya has lived in a wide range of residential markets, including Bucks County, Pennsylvania; Rockville, Potomac, and Annapolis, Maryland; Boston’s Beacon Hill; and San Francisco’s Pacific Heights, before settling in Hingham, Massachusetts more than 12 years ago. Many of these moves were driven by her husband’s corporate career, giving Sonya extensive experience working with relocation-focused agents—some exceptional, and others purely transactional. That contrast played a defining role in why she chose to enter real estate herself.

Having personally bought, sold, and relocated numerous times, Sonya understands how critical it is to work with an advisor who listens, advocates, and truly has a client’s best interests at heart. Integrity is central to her work. She believes real estate is not about chasing transactions, but about helping people find the right fit for where they are in life—financially, emotionally, and practically. To Sonya, each move is a puzzle, often requiring creativity, persistence, and outreach beyond what is publicly available to uncover the best possible opportunities, including homes that may not yet be on the market.

Before transitioning into real estate, Sonya spent nearly two decades in pharmaceutical sales, where she was consistently a top performer. She exceeded sales quotas year after year, earned multiple industry awards, and was recognized with President’s Club honors twice. For the final seven years of her career, she specialized in HIV therapies and covered the Harvard teaching hospitals, including Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Tufts Medical Center, and Boston Medical Center. This experience continues to inform her real estate practice today—particularly in strategic preparation, disciplined follow-through, skilled negotiation, and navigating complex, high-stakes decisions with discretion and professionalism.

While living in San Francisco, Sonya stepped away from her career to focus on raising her children. Since returning to Massachusetts, her family has become deeply rooted in the Hingham community. All three of her children have attended Hingham Public Schools—two graduates and one current Hingham High School student. Sonya has been actively involved locally, serving as Treasurer of the Hingham Music Parents Association, volunteering with the Hingham High School Rowing Association, and previously volunteering with School on Wheels in Dorchester, supporting children living in transitional housing.

From November 2022 through February 2025, Sonya intentionally stepped back from active real estate sales to focus on family needs, while remaining closely connected to the South Shore market and maintaining long-standing professional relationships.

Her transaction history reflects both breadth and discretion, spanning luxury homes, condominiums, land, development-related projects, select rental placements, and off-market transactions throughout Hingham, Cohasset, Norwell, Scituate, on the South Shore of MA and Boston's Beacon Hill and Back Bay. She has developed particular depth in Hingham’s Crow Point neighborhood, where she has represented multiple sellers across resale homes, new construction, and a three-home cul-de-sac development—giving her uncommon insight into pricing, buyer behavior, and value at the neighborhood level. Notably, Sonya has successfully completed private, off-market sales for clients who value discretion, while also ensuring accurate neighborhood data through thoughtful MLS participation when appropriate.

Today, Sonya is known for her energetic, hands-on approach, strong work ethic, and genuine ability to connect with people-grounded in honesty, integrity, and thoughtful advocacy for her clients. Whether working with long-time South Shore homeowners, buyers navigating competitive markets, renters seeking the right interim home, or families managing significant life transitions, she is deeply committed to guiding her clients with honesty, diligence, and care—always focused on finding the right fit, not just closing a deal.
