Stephen McArdle

Stephen McArdle leads Rentals for The Litvak Team at Compass, where he directs a team of 11 agents and has generated over $3M in GCI since stepping into the role in 2023, succeeding the department's previous head. Under his direction, the team's rentals division has become a consistent, high-performing part of one of Compass's top-producing teams, built on a standard of responsiveness and market expertise that Stephen has carried throughout his career.

Before moving into department leadership, Stephen spent over three decades building one of the more accomplished sales careers in New York City real estate. He closed over $1B in residential sales across 1,500+ units, working as a real estate developer and luxury sales specialist, and led sales for more than 20 new developments across the city. His work was recognized on The Real Deal's Top 20 Listing Brokers in New York.

“I've always believed real estate is one of the most personal decisions someone makes, and I've tried to honor that in every deal — from the developments I've sold to the families I've helped find home,” says Stephen. “That belief is what I've built our rentals team around, too.”

A native New Yorker, Stephen co-founded Walk With Us NYC, a foundation supplying much-needed shoes and socks to homeless children, women, and men in New York City. Also, Stephen is co-founder of the Gary Larsen Foundation, which raises supplemental funds for organizations including Ronald McDonald House and Make-A-Wish. He previously served as a parent representative on the city's task force on overcrowding in Lower Manhattan schools and is a father of four boys, committed to serving his children, his clients, and the communities around him.
