It all started for me in Fair Lawn, so it’s only fitting I begin this series of Bergen County Town posts with the story about Fair Lawn. I came to the US over 25 years ago and I still remember hearing and seeing all the hustle-and- bustle of New York City during our 1.5-hour drive from the JFK Airport to Fair Lawn. I remember getting off Route 4 highway and entering Fair Lawn, the peace and quiet of the town struck me immediately. I ended up in a tranquil town with single-family homes that had green nicely- trimmed lawns.

Hillsdale Town Spotlight

Our family has been living in Hillsdale for over 5 years now, since we moved here in April 2016. Our second child, our baby boy, was on the way at that time, so we were looking to move from our 2-bedroom condo into a larger house. Hillsdale was on the list of about a dozen Bergen County Towns on our list and after about 6 months of searching, we found the house we really liked and called Hillsdale our new hometown.
