Steven Sitrin

Steven transitioned to a career as a full time real estate professional in 2017 after serving as Executive Director of student centers at George Washington, Carnegie Mellon and Yale universities as well as a senior executive in non-profits in Washington, DC, Providence and Newport. Steven grew up in Upstate New York, attended Cornell University, lived in New York City, Pittsburgh, Cape Cod and the Washington DC Metro area before relocating to Rhode Island in 2002. He has lived in Newport and Providence and has worked with clients across the state and throughout central and southeastern Massachusetts as well as Cape Cod and Martha’s Vineyard. 

 Steven’s approach to working with real estate clients is shaped by his years of serving as a mentor to college students and young professionals. He knows that every client, from the first time home buyer to a relocating family or a downsizing senior, has unique needs and he is committed to developing personalized solutions to meet their individual or family needs. Steven values the relationships he has established with his clients and approaches his work with the intent of treating every client as someone who will be a friend for years to come. 

Steven’s background in higher education has contributed to his passionate embrace of life long learning. After earning his real estate sales license, Steven began a methodical approach to increasing his knowledge and skills by taking a variety of professional development courses and earning a number of certifications and designations, including Accredited Buyer Representative; Seller Representation Specialist; Resort & Second Home Specialist; Senior Real Estate Specialist; Short Sales & Foreclosure Resource; NAR Green; and ePro; as well as the Commitment to Excellence Designation from the National Association of Realtors. 

Steven has been an active member of the community, serving on boards and as a volunteer for organizations across Rhode Island. He is the former Vice President and Treasurer of the Board at St. Michael’s Country Day School, a volunteer at Moses Brown School, the former President of Newport Live and a part time Underwriting Executive for MVYRADIO. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the Rhode Island Statewide Multiple Listing Service and President-Elect of the Newport County Board of Realtors. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, live music and summer in New England. His wife, Rebecca, is the principal of Deer Isle Stonington High School in Downeast Maine and their three young adult children are scattered around the Northeast.
