Susan J Miedema

Susan J. Miedema is a Broker Salesperson who has been selling on the Kona Coast since 1986! As a Top Producing Realtor, she has earned numerous awards and designations over the expanse of her career in the Real Estate industry. She has a reputation for hard work, perseverance, honesty, integrity and always going the extra mile for her clients and friends. Her passionate dedication continually results in repeat customers, and her client referrals speak volumes to this, as the relationships she builds extend far beyond the sale.

Susan holds the GRI (Graduate Realtors Institute) and CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designations, and was a Member of the Professional Standards Committee for the West Hawaii Association of Realtors for 24 yrs (1997-2021).  Susan received the 2012 Hall of Fame-Lifetime Achievement Award, for years of dedicated service to the Kona Community. 

In 2019, Susan an honored recipient of the prestigious Kūpono Award, which recognized selected Realtors for their extraordinary service and professionalism, always going over and far above everything expected by her clients, which has also earned her the respect from peers and the community as well. 

On a Personal Note...

Moving to Kona in 1982, from Montana, Susan began her Real Estate career in 1986.  She is the Mother of a daughter with a rare genetic syndrome, Cri du Chat, which occurs 1 in 50,000 births.  In 2009 Susan married for the first time, and now has a wonderful blended family, with 2 grown step sons that currently reside in Missoula, MT and Denver, CO. 

In addition to her real estate endeavors, Susan is very active in the community volunteering throughout the year, for non-profit organizations which include Special Olympics, Therapeutic Horsemanship of Hawaii, the ARC of Kona, and is a member of the historic Mokuaikaua Church, the first Christian Church in the Hawaiian Islands established in 1820.
