Susan J Miedema

Susan J. Miedema is a Broker Salesperson who has been selling on the Kona Coast since 1986! As a Top Producing Realtor, she has earned numerous awards and designations over the expanse of her career in the Real Estate industry. Susan has a reputation for hard work, perseverance, honesty and integrity. Her passionate dedication continually results in repeat customers, and her client referrals speak volumes to this, as the relationships she builds extend far beyond the sale.

Susan holds the GRI (Graduate Realtors Institute) and CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designations, and has been a Member of the Professional Standards Committee for the West Hawaii Association of Realtors from 1997 through 2021. In 2012 Susan was honored into the Hall of Fame Lifetime Achievement for years of dedicated service to the Kona Community. 

In 2019, Susan was also honored as one of five recipients of the prestigious Kūpono Award, which recognized selected Realtors for their extraordinary service and professionalism. Susan is known for going over and far above everything expected by her clients, which has earned her the respect from peers and the community as well. 

On a Personal Note...

Susan moved to Kona in 1982 and began her Real Estate career in 1986.  She is the Mother of a special daughter with a rare genetic syndrome, Cri du Chat, which occurs 1 in 50,000 births.  In 2009 Susan married for the first time, and now has a blended family with 2 grown step sons that reside in Missoula, MT. 

In addition to her real estate endeavors, Susan is very active in the community volunteering throughout the year, for non-profit organizations which include Special Olympics, Therapeutic Horsemanship of Hawaii and The ARC of Kona, and is an active member of the historic Mokuaikaua Church, the first Christian Church in the Hawaiian Islands established in 1820.
