Tayreen Nelson

A Miami native and Coral Gables resident, Tayreen Nelson is a Florida residential real estate advisor and seller representation specialist with the Riley Smith Group at Compass. She serves Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, Pinecrest, South Miami, and surrounding luxury Miami neighborhoods, with a track record built across more than a decade of complex residential transactions.

Tayreen brings a distinctive strategic advantage to every transaction — her background as a former practicing attorney, still licensed in Florida for more than two decades, informs how she reads contracts, negotiates, manages risk, and approaches complex deal strategy. Her role with clients is exclusively as a Realtor, not as legal counsel, but the discipline of legal training is the meaningful difference clients notice from the first meeting forward.

She joined The Riley Smith Group twelve years ago and has been consistently recognized as a top producer on one of Miami-Dade's most established Compass teams — a group with more than $2 billion in lifetime sales. Tayreen is a founding member of Law Grads of Compass, a national Compass network created to connect buyers and sellers with real estate professionals who bring a foundation in law to every transaction.

Educated at Florida State University (Bachelor of Science, Management Information Systems, College of Business; Minor in Hospitality Management) and St. Thomas University School of Law (Juris Doctorate), fully bilingual in English and Spanish, Tayreen pairs data-driven recommendations with warm, attentive client service. She listens as carefully as she speaks and gives clients the space to collaborate at every step — helping sellers move from preparation to closing with clarity and confidence. 

Off the market, Tayreen and her husband homeschool their daughters and spend time traveling to U.S. national parks, boating, cooking, and watching college football. They are active members of the Coconut Grove Sailing Club. A lifelong athlete and avid runner, Tayreen played on Florida State University's nationally-ranked women's rugby team from 1995 to 2000, was later a Defensive Back in the Women's Professional Football League, and has completed a half Ironman triathlon.
