At The Waypoint Team, we believe real estate is more than a transactionāitās a journey. Our mission is to guide clients through these transitions with clarity, compassion, and exceptional service.
Co-founders Matt Burhart and John Spoon bring more than 55 years of combined corporate leadership experience from a global automotive company, where they held executive-level roles across multiple states. Together, theyāve relocated their families over 20 times and personally bought or sold more than 40 homes. These lived experiences give them a deep understanding of both the practical and emotional sides of movingāespecially when choosing schools, evaluating communities, and navigating major life changes.
Now entering its 11th year, The Waypoint Team has grown into a six-member group of dedicated professionals who share a commitment to responsiveness, strong ethics, and client success. Each member brings a unique background and expertise that enhances the personalized service we provide across Middle Tennessee.
Meet Our Team Members
Matt Burhart blends corporate marketing leadership, director-level experience at Nissan, and a passion for teaching with his real estate expertise. A licensed Realtor with ABR, PSA, and Relocation Specialist credentials, Matt also holds an Executive MBA and teaches sales and marketing at Belmont and Lipscomb universities. Known for his attention to detail, responsiveness, and genuine care, he guides clients with clarity and a highly personalized approach.
John Spoon, a former Vice President and Chief Customer Officer at Nissan North America, led a team of more than 500 focused on customer satisfaction. With an MBA in marketing and ABR and LRS certifications, John blends strategic insight with calm professionalism, helping clients navigate their home journey with clarity and confidence. He is also a highly skilled negotiator.
Bonnie Lombardi is a Realtor known for excellence in luxury and corporate relocations. With broad expertise across the Nashville market, she brings sharp insight to high-stakes transactions. Having relocated across the country herself, Bonnie guides clients with empathy and precision.
Danielle Cambron brings the creative discipline of New Yorkās fashion industry to the Nashville real estate market. With a keen eye for design, she offers expert staging guidance and sharp market insight, helping homes stand out and clients feel confident. Her approachable style and attention to detail make her a trusted advisor, especially for buyers seeking the unique character of Nashvilleās neighborhoods.
Deborah Brophy draws on more than 15 years of experience as an educator and counselor in Virginia. With advanced degrees in Psychology and School Counseling, Deborah brings a deeply client-centered approachācombining empathy with problem-solving to provide a supportive, respectful, and highly personalized experience.
Jim Young is a Tennessee native and longtime Franklin resident who brings a blend of military service, business experience, and community leadership to real estate. A U.S. Navy veteran with a business degree from Mississippi State, Jim spent over 20 years in commercial insurance and financial planning, along with roles in a multi-market furniture business.
