"It may be odd to say that your real estate agent is one of your favorite people, but I know of no other way to describe Toni Nicolo. I had never purchased a home in the City, and was torn about when I wanted to move, where I wanted to move, or even what type of home I wanted to buy – I felt overwhelmed and daunted, and told Toni that I had no idea how or when or where to begin. Toni jumped into action, and had me send her some apartments and homes I liked – and she was off. She started making appointments, made herself available at all hours and all days, and put up with me looking at places in both Manhattan and basically every corner of Brooklyn. We saw new construction, we looked at plans together, and we saw house and apartment after apartment (and discussed design and renovation tips all along the way), and ultimately made it possible for us to see what has become my house on the very first day it was on the market. She held my hand – figuratively, this was all Covid, after all – through the whole process with the perfect balance of support, encouragement, excitement, and patience. Along the way she became my friend because she is also wonderful to spend time with, and has a true sense of design and appreciation for the aesthetic I was seeking, which I truly valued.
