Tony Oakley, Senior Managing Director

Tony Oakley is a Sales Manager, Senior Managing Director, and former Broker of Record at Compass. "Being Broker of Record for NY is one of my greatest accomplishments." 

He joined Compass NYC in 2017, heading up the office on the Upper West Side. With 27+ years of real estate experience, Tony comes from a family that has bought, sold, and traded real estate for four decades.

Tony hails from Halstead Property in 2014--2017 and where he was promoted from Associate Broker to Executive Director of Sales of the UWS office. Before joining Halstead, Tony was an Associate Broker with The Corcoran Group's UWS Office for more than 11 years, focusing not only on the resale market but also on new development in Upper Manhattan. Before that, he worked with Douglas Elliman in the UWS office. Tony achieved enviable success at both firms. His knowledge of Manhattan's ever-changing markets assured buyers, sellers, and developers of the greatest of responsibility and professionalism.

His training efforts extend from mentoring one-on-one, popular sessions at the Learning Annex, and to many CE classroom settings. He states, "Building teams of lawyers, lenders, inspectors, and contractors are just the start of a successful transaction, but is essential for every buyer or seller. Realistic expectations must be conveyed from the very start and through the entirety of each project."

Tony spearheaded six new developments in Manhattan and has sold hundreds of apartments, townhouses, and buildings. A resident of Manhattan for nearly 26+ years, Tony is an active and strong supporter of theater, music, performing Broadway and jazz concerts around the world but NYC is his favorite audience, South Beach Jazz Festival, USO of NYC, Broadway Mall Association, and Pro Mujer to name a few interests. Tony utilized his management skills learned during many years of international travels as a performer and cruise director. Originally from North Carolina, his family worked in real estate for 38 years and still manages a portfolio there, while Tony manages his personal property portfolio here in New York and Miami. He loves living in NYC for all of its exciting entertainment, arts, and dining venues.
