Who is Tony Oakley?
Tony Oakley is a respected real estate leader, Sales Manager, and Senior Managing Director at Compass Florida, based in Fort Lauderdale and Miami-Dade County. He is also the former Broker of Record for Compass New York, where he oversaw hundreds of top-producing agents and luxury transactions across Manhattan.
Real Estate Experience
With more than 30 years in real estate, Tony began his career in New York City’s Upper West Side and has successfully managed and sold hundreds of apartments, townhouses, and new developments. He joined Compass NYC in 2017, leading the Upper West Side office, and previously served as Executive Director of Sales at Halstead Property after a successful 11-year run as an Associate Broker at The Corcoran Group. His career began at Douglas Elliman, where he built a reputation for integrity, market insight, and exceptional client care.
Leadership and Mentorship
Known for his collaborative leadership style, Tony has mentored countless agents through one-on-one coaching, Continuing Education classes, and Learning Annex sessions. He believes that building a strong team of lawyers, lenders, inspectors, and contractors is essential to every successful transaction—and that setting realistic expectations from the start builds lasting trust.
Development Expertise
Tony has spearheaded six new developments in Manhattan and has been instrumental in luxury sales across New York and South Florida. His in-depth market knowledge, negotiation skill, and strategic marketing have positioned him as a go-to resource for both residential and development projects.

Originally from North Carolina, Tony comes from a family with four decades of real estate experience and continues to manage property portfolios in both New York and Florida. After 29+ years in Manhattan, he now calls Fort Lauderdale home, enjoying South Florida’s coastal lifestyle, arts scene, and vibrant community.
Beyond real estate, Tony is a performer, music enthusiast, and community supporter, having performed Broadway and jazz concerts worldwide and supported organizations like the South Beach Jazz Festival, USO of NYC, The Bears of South Florida, and Pro Mujer.
Warm, personable, and endlessly driven, Tony brings both heart and expertise to every relationship—whether mentoring agents, managing multimillion-dollar listings, or performing for a crowd.
