Long before beginning her real estate career, Val developed a passion for homes while growing up alongside her father, a general contractor. Homeschooling gave her the unique opportunity to spend countless hours on construction sites, where the smell of fresh sawdust and copper pipe became familiar reminders of craftsmanship and the process of building something meaningful. Those early experiences sparked a lifelong appreciation for architecture, construction, and the value of home. 

Val's drive to serve others has taken her well beyond Southern California. After earning a full athletic scholarship to swim for the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, where she graduated with multiple academic honors and served as team captain, she was selected to volunteer with the United States Peace Corps in a rural village in eastern Cambodia. That experience profoundly shaped her perspective on service, resilience, and the lasting impact of helping others build better lives. 

Upon returning to Los Angeles in 2014, Val found her calling in real estate. Today, she is known as a trusted advisor who partners with clients from their first conversation through closing and beyond. She specializes in representing professional athletes, entertainment industry professionals, those who are upsizing or downsizing, veterans, investors, and first time buyers while leveraging an extensive off-market network and deep relationships throughout the brokerage community to uncover opportunities others often miss. Her intimate understanding of the South Bay and greater Los Angeles market allows her to provide insight that extends far beyond market statistics, and clients consistently praise her responsiveness, honesty, attention to detail, and ability to make even the most complex transactions feel seamless.

Beyond real estate, Val is deeply invested in her community. She previously served on the Leadership Manhattan Beach Board as Alumni Director, currently serves as Secretary and Director of Games for the Manhattan Beach Hometown Fair, and is an active member of the prestigious Manhattan Beach Rotary Club.
