"I met Valerie Young at an open house in Edmonds in September 2018. I was not ready to buy at that time but thought, “Maybe I’ll meet a good real estate agent” …and I did! She was a wonderful listener, very knowledgeable and experienced, had a wonderful positive outlook on life and her profession, and her compassion for animals was the clincher for me. Once I was financially able to consider a home purchase, we reviewed the listings every week and looked at a few houses. In mid-December we found a house that was a perfect location. Valerie insisted on a thorough inspection including a full sewer scope which in fact turned up an issue which was fixed by the sellers. The listing agent and Valerie had the same commitment to helping people and worked so well together that the sellers offered to finance my purchase until I could sell my own home—something almost unheard of in our strong real estate market.
