About Vanessa
Vanessa brings a 5-star service-oriented approach to Realty Austin. Her international background and experiences, combined with years of luxury sales and customer service, make her a highly versatile agent. She is also delighted to be working alongside her son Callum at Realty Austin Compass! 

She is experienced in both buyer and seller representation, with particular compassion for relocation clients. Having moved both internationally and within the USA many times herself, she understands the added stresses and logistics that relocation brings. She will guide you through every step of the process, right up to a successful close. 

More recently, as a "Seniors Real Estate Specialist" she is also empathetic towards the needs of her clients who are retiring or at the later stages of life and need to make changes to their living situation. She is a great listener & communicator. She quickly understands all the challenges involved in making living situation changes at this later stage of life & will be there every step of the way to help eliminate the stress.

She was raised in Scotland and moved her family to Houston, Texas, in 2000. Once all four of her children had graduated from high school, she decided to do a complete career change which took her on many international travel adventures. She spent four summers as a Tour Director for Holland America Cruise line guiding groups through interior Alaska and the Yukon and spent the winters volunteering in places as far away as Zimbabwe, Cape Town, and Hawaii. Ask her about walking with lions! She has also been an avid Make-a-Wish Foundation volunteer Wish-Maker for many years and also volunteers with Habitat for Humanity, Central Texas Food Bank, Drive-a-Senior, and Community First Village. Whether you want to build your own house, upsize, downsize, or relocate, Vanessa can help you find the perfect new place to call “Home Sweet Home.” In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, kayaking on Town Lake, or hiking the area trails. Her favorite “secret” place to relax is at the Wildflower Center. When she can escape the city for a day or two, she loves to take off in her RV (called Mabel!) to the coast and spend time painting.
