About Wendy

With over five decades of Houston roots, Wendy Bernstein brings deep local insight, sharp marketing instincts, and a heartfelt commitment to every client’s real estate journey. Having lived in Houston for over 50 years, she understands the heartbeat of its neighborhoods .and the evolving trends that make them unique.

Wendy earned her real estate license in the early 1980’s and, after dedicating time to raise her family, returned to the industry with renewed focus and passion.  Her prior experience in retail and marketing gives her an edge in creativity, negotiation, and client communication-skills she leverages daily6 to deliver seamless transactions.

During her return to the real estate industry, Wendy was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Wendy was sidelined by her diagnosis, but returned with the same energy, love of her career and her clients that become dear friends as she always had. Wendy devotes her good fortune of surviving cancer by helping newly diagnosed patients, advocating and by sitting on the Board of Advisors at Baylor College of Medicine.

At Compass, Wendy serves her clients across Houston-especially in the Memorial Villages, West University, Bellaire, the Heights, Tanglewood and high rises. Whether it’s guiding first-time home buyers or helping longtime residents relocate, she listens deeply to client goals and then customizes strategy, presentation and advocacy accordingly.

Over her tenure, Wendy has successfully closed homes in a broad price range, from modest to multi-million dollar properties. Wendy is known for her proactive style, whether you are buying or selling, from the first meeting to getting the transaction closed and funded.

Outside of real estate, Wendy is deeply invested in Houston’s community and non-profit initiatives. She believes in giving back to the place she loves and being a resource beyond just buying or selling a home.
