About Zak
Zak Irvin brings the discipline, leadership, and competitive mindset of a professional athlete to his real estate career in Austin. After nine years playing professional basketball around the world, Zak has entered his next chapter with Compass, where he is building his business around relationships, preparation, and a genuine appreciation for Austin’s distinctive homes and communities.
Originally from Fishers, Indiana, Zak was named Indiana Mr. Basketball in 2013 before attending and graduating from the University of Michigan. During his four years with the Wolverines, he became a three-year starter and team captain.
Today, Zak is a member of the Vince Heinz Team at Compass, where he is immersing himself in the Austin market. Zak approaches real estate with many of the same principles that shaped his athletic career: prepare relentlessly, communicate clearly, compete for the people you represent, and always be a great teammate.
