Description

Designed by the father of modernism in Memphis, A. L. Aydelott, as his personal home and completed in 1961. Described as a "manifesto" against traditional Southern architecture, the house stands out with its hyperbolic paraboloid roof, supported at each corner, freeing the interior for soaring ceilings. The home’s woodwork, terrazzo, and brick floors are well-preserved, thanks to one family’s ownership since 1980.
