Description

Perched on the edge of town and a stone’s throw from the harbor, the Tristram Bunker House remains in much of its original condition. It is one of the oldest houses on Nantucket Island. Steeped in history going back to the early 18th century, the house was built in 1720 and moved to its current location around 1756. Originally a “lean-to” home, an “ell” was added to the house in 1840. The house received a more modern wing in the 1980s.
