A frame wing with vinyl siding was added to the rear of the stone structure in the 1990's and provides a modern kitchen, dining room, laundry and pantry on the main level and a large primary bedroom on the 2nd level. The property includes a two story summer kitchen (now used for storage), a 4 bay bank barn (circa 1900) and a block dairy barn which are both in very good condition; a 3 bay machine shed, and a 1,200 SF +/- tenant house. Riverside includes over 2,000 linear feet of frontage on the Monocacy River and is situated 1/2 mile south of the Monocacy National Battlefield. The Frederick County Land Preservation Program office has stated that this property would be their top priority for the Rural Legacy preservation program. Approximately 175 acres of tillable land, 80 acres of clean woods, a creek which bisects the land. One lot was previously subdivided off the farm, two conventional subdivision rights and 6 ag cluster rights remain.
