To modernize the home in 2024-2025: Every interior and exterior surface was painted or restored. All cabinet and faucet hardware were replaced, and new quartz countertops were installed in the kitchen, bar, laundry, craft rooms, and bathrooms. A new chandelier, fan, or recessed lighting was installed in every room. Original wide-plank hardwood floors were refinished throughout. All bathrooms walls were retiled, floors laid with marble, and toilets and sinks replaced. 12+ doors were removed to allow better traffic flow. Three working fireplaces were cleaned and interiors painted. Exterior solar-powered security lighting was installed. All public rooms are accessible from a grand hall (60' x 10'), designed as a gallery /entertainment area. The kitchen has been reconfigured with new appliances and a new breakfast counter. The full bar is equipped with new sink, ice-maker, two wine refrigerators, and cabinetry. A huge laundry leads to a craft room / workshop, both having full cabinetry. All four bedrooms have private baths; a huge 5th bedroom / media / game room also has a full bath; and the exercise room has a new countertop and cabinetry. Double primary bedrooms (one with a fireplace) are downstairs; two bedrooms and an exercise room are upstairs. The living room, office, and two bedrooms have floor-to-ceiling shelving. Numerous extra closets abound throughout. Custom wood shutters cover every casement window and have been restored and repainted. The enclosed 1,800sf
courtyard / play area is gated, shaded, lighted, and paved in brick; it is visible from the kitchen and dining room. Nine-foot ceilings highlight custom moldings (up to five tiers of trim). Almost all downstairs rooms have monumental 7'x4' or 7'x3' windows. Four of five HVAC systems are new, as are all thermostats and all three hot water heaters. The composition-shingle roof and TPO roof are new. New ADT Security equipment has been installed. An extra-deep three-car garage has new doors and
openers plus a storage closet with shelving. A mechanical room has four commercial-grade power shut-offs for safety. Outside, two dozen trees have been removed to protect the house and nurture ground growth, all other trees limbed, and the ground graded and prepped for grass in the spring. Attic and foundation vents have been cleaned and sealed to prevent pests. The side yard, accessed through a hall door with wide porch, is also totally private and easily
large enough for a tennis court or pool. Finally, a white picket fence plus a board-on-board wooden fence secure the entire
property for children or pets. Two front double-gates allow lighted entry for guests. They add finishing touches to this Instagram-worthy home: In 2025 alone, it was featured in Northside Sun magazine; it was the only home selected for interior tour on Fondren Foundation's Bottle Tree and Garden Tour; and it was used by ABC TV in an upcoming documentary on Mississippi.
