In the early 1940s, pursuing a dream, a couple from the Midwest left their corporate jobs, bought a parcel of land in Barnard, Vermont and set about hand crafting a home designed after a Danish peasant cottage. The logs were harvested from their land and hauled to the building site by a local using a team of horses. The end result was a unique and magical log home on a mountain top looking out over the New Hampshire mountains.
