In 1957 the Alexander Construction Company with architect William Krisel unveiled Twin Palms, the first truly modern neighborhood in Palm Springs. Using post and beam construction and a variety of rooflines, Krisel imparted a unique, custom look to these homes. They were a sales sensation and the company went on to build many more, influencing other builders with this formula.
