She has also helped advocate for special needs students within the district including her son Matthew who was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of 4. Ann often attends meetings with parents of students with disabilities.

Additionally, Ann serves on the advisory board for the Belmont Child Care Association, where she plays a vital role in fundraising for the childcare centers located at the Thoroughbreds at Belmont Park, the Aqueduct Race Track, and the Saratoga Race Course.
