Bob grew up in Darien and attended Holmes School, Middlesex Middle School, and Darien High School. Bob has three daughters who followed the same path, and his wife Maggie also spent part of her childhood living in Darien. Bob and Maggie moved back to Darien in 1991, when their two oldest kids were toddlers and since then have never left. Besides being a wonderful place to raise a family, Darien is where they have achieved a sense of community and involvement that they wouldn't trade for anything. From the wonderful public schools, beautiful town beaches and parks to the various community and cultural organizations and athletic fields, Darien is the place they call home.
Prior to becoming a licensed real estate salesperson, he owned and operated Midatlantic Telecom, a family business in New York City, from 1991 to 2014. As President, he was responsible for running all aspects of the daily operations including sales, finance, accounting, strategic planning, and technical services. Midatlantic Telecom sold, installed and serviced business telephone systems to thousands of small to medium-sized companies in the Tri-State area. The business was sold in August 2014.
Bob has been an active town-wide volunteer including multi year youth coaching stints in softball (past league president), lacrosse, basketball and soccer. He was a Commissioner for ten years in the Darien Parks and Rec Department. For seven years, Bob was on the Board of Directors for Star, a Norwalk based volunteer organization that serves intellectually and developmentally disabled children and adults in lower Fairfield County. Through the Good Shepherds program, Bob is currently a mentor to a junior attending Kolbe Cathedral High School in Bridgeport, CT.
