Mike Davis is principal of THE DAVIS TEAM at Compass. Mike is a seasoned real estate professional with 20 Years of expertise in New York City. Mike has a unique and dynamic understanding of Manhattan, Brooklyn, and Queens. The first half of his career focused on commercial markets, where he developed a comprehensive understanding of the driving forces behind various trends, real estate taxes, and causal effects of the residential market.

Today, Mike has transacted more than $1 Billion in transactions. He’s dedicated to providing his wide range of clients with insightful and calculated advice, leveraging Compass' state-of-the-art technology to streamline the buying, selling, and leasing processes.

As a distinguished member of the Compass Commercial Division, Michael has also garnered recognition for successfully negotiating significant retail and office leases tailored for creative enterprises. His commitment to excellence and keen business acumen have solidified his reputation as a trusted advisor in the industry.

Originally from Alexandria, Virginia, Mike's pursued an understanding of globalization through earning a BA in International Relations from George Mason University. His studies took him to La Universidad de Costa Rica and Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic where he studied Latin American and Eastern European development respectively. Mike has an obvious love for learning, travel, and cultural exchange.

Mike has lived in New York City for almost 25 Years, but as a native of Northern Virginia, he’s accustomed to a Southern charm and sensibility. When Mike asks, "How are you?", he's genuinely interested in learning about someone. When he’s not hard at work with clients, Mike spends time with his French wife of 10 years and their adorable 7-year-old twins exploring Europe and the great outdoors. On the rare occasions he’s not working, he’s working out with his family or enjoying museums and Movie Night with the family. Life is good!

Suzanne Johansson-Cawley began her career in luxury residential real estate in June 1994 co-owning her own brokerage and management company in Columbus Circle. Having maintained many relationships with international investors over the years, she continues representing owners and investment groups across Manhattan by selling, managing, and leasing residences in Park Millennium, Millennium Tower, UN Plaza, and beyond. 

Nicholas DeFendis is our newest recruit joining us from his most recent employ at Soho House New York. Nicholas has a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies and a minor in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida, Nicholas brings a unique blend of analytical expertise and interpersonal skills to every transaction. His professional background spans leadership roles in member relations and office operations, where he honed his ability to foster trust, resolve complex challenges, and enhance client satisfaction.

Nadav Gershon, a Long Island native, joins the team as Director of Operations. Nadav grew up in a close Middle Eastern household, which fostered his strong sense of community and belonging. Surrounded by real estate from a young age, he built hands-on experience managing properties, overseeing renovations, and working with residents and owners. This background gives him practical insight and a client-first approach. Now based on the Upper East Side, Nadav enjoys cooking, sports, and exploring New York’s restaurants. A Yankees superfan and coffee enthusiast, he brings energy, care, and creativity to everything he does.
