It was a long wait it seemed but the people in the house that I bought did not want to move out until a certain date. It worked out but had to keep mowing and watering the yard, etc. I wrote more the last couple times I tried to get this completed so I know I forgot some things about Deidre. But I would recommend her to anyone. She explained everything that needed to be done and when. She was interested in selling my house and she found a house that I wanted to move into. A few years ago my husband would keep our yard in great shape and it looked beautiful even when we had to water several times because it was hot during those weeks. He could not continue with the yard work and my grandson and I were able to keep it looking okay. Then I hired my next door neighbor to take care of it for three weeks. He has a lawn and landscape business so he took well care of my yard. I know this is not very important but that neighbor told me today that the new owners have not mowed since signing the papers nor have they raked any leaves. That was September 10. Close neighbors take great care of their yards so I am sorry for them. This has nothing to do with the review but I don't want our former neighbors to look at a bad yard. One neighbor told them that the person next door does yard work, etc. Their answer was ' we haven't decided if we are going to hire it done or do it ourselves .' "I met Diedre through a friend who had used to her to purchase a new home and sell his existing one. He bragged so much that it only made sense to contact her when I was thinking about buying a home. I contacted Diedre and set up a time to meet over the phone to discuss what I was looking for and how soon I was possibly going to be ready to start looking. She was very pleasant and put absolutely NO pressure on me to start looking at homes any sooner than I was ready. Diedre set me up to receive daily listing of homes in my price range and the area's that I wanted to live to give me an idea of what was out there. I wanted to get my pre-approval for the mortgage done first and she understood that. When we were ready, Diedre made herself available within a day's notice to take us out and start looking at houses. We looked at, I believe, 6 or 7 homes the first day. All of the homes were nice, but just didn't give us the "This is it!" feeling when we were there. Again.. NO pressure to pick anything before we were ready. We set a time to meet the next day to look at a few more. That night, a new house came up on the listings that was having an open house the next day. We called Diedre to make sure we could look without her, or having her change her schedule, which she was fine. She called me shortly after and had arranged for us to get a private showing before the open house that next day. She just did it knowing that we really wanted to look at it. We toured the house and got that "This is it!" feeling. We were able to put in the first offer on the house and found out later that evening that the owners had accepted it, even though they had received multiple offers! Diedre continued to make sure we knew exactly what was to be expected every step of the way. She took care of scheduling everything and kept in contact with my mortgage broker to make sure everything was good to go for closing. She educated me on the costs of changing our close date, multiple times at the sellers request, and made sure I fully understood what was going on. Closing day came and Diedre was the first one we saw. She sat with us through closing to make sure we understood what everything meant and stayed to make sure everything was completed so that she could give us the keys to our new home as soon as possible. On moving day, Diedre showed up with Pizza and refreshments for everyone that was helping us move and continues to reach out or stop by with things to help make sure we are getting adjusted. I've worked with several Realtors in my previous career, and I'm not putting any of them down by any means, but I've never met someone who put so much time, effort, and genuine care into making sure a clients home buying experience was nothing less than AMAZING! I have been, and will continue to refer ANYONE looking into buying or selling a home to Diedre. In my opinion, you're not going to find a better Realtor in KC than Diedre!"
