Graham Maiden

Graham is a founding partner of Counsel & Keys.  Born and raised in South Carolina, he arrived in Charleston in 2002 to play baseball and attend college — and simply never left. He played first base for the College of Charleston while getting his degree in pure mathematics and after graduating, he attended the Charleston School of Law downtown, building a career that has kept him at the intersection of Charleston real estate and law ever since.

During law school, Graham was taken under the tutelage of Michael Bennett, one of the most accomplished real estate developers in Charleston's history. That mentorship gave him an insider's understanding of how this incredible city has become what it has and where it might be going in the future.  He engrained himself into the fabric of the City by living downtown for over a decade, living in more than ten different locations across Charleston's most sought-after neighborhoods — developing a street-level fluency with this market that few agents can match.

Licensed as a SC real estate broker since 2013, Graham served as Broker-in-Charge of his own boutique firm while maintaining a full-time litigation practice, taking on some of the largest corporations in the world on behalf of his clients. Licensed to practice law in four states, he brings a level of legal precision and negotiating discipline to real estate transactions that is rarely found together.

In 2015, Graham and his wife Brooke — also a licensed South Carolina attorney — chose Sullivan's Island to raise their family. They initially renovated a home and have since built another on the island, where their two children "Gray" and "Vivian" attend Sullivan's Island Elementary and they are all very proud members of this special island community.  This is also where he opened the flagship office of Counsel & Keys in the heart of the island's business district!  

Graham is also a proud member of the Hibernian Society of Charleston, one of the city's oldest and most distinguished civic organizations.  When he's not deep in a professional deal, you're likely to find Graham riding around on his golf cart at the beach with his family and friends.  And when he decides to "cross a bridge" he's likely out on the links at Bull's Bay, Cassique, or the River Course at Kiawah — where he enjoys hosting his current, former, and future clients!
