For John Murphy, real estate is a natural continuation of a career built around service, trust, and helping people. After retiring from a distinguished career in law enforcement, John brings the same dedication, integrity, and calm, thoughtful approach to helping buyers and sellers throughout Westchester and Rockland Counties.
John began his law enforcement career with the New York City Police Department, where he was among those who responded to the World Trade Center following September 11th. He later transferred to Rockland County, ultimately rising to the rank of Lieutenant. During his career, John served on the SWAT team and as his department’s Public Information Officer, experiences that strengthened his ability to communicate clearly, manage complex situations, pay close attention to detail, and remain calm under pressure. These qualities now serve his real estate clients at every stage of a transaction.
Having lived throughout Northern Westchester and Rockland County for much of his adult life, John offers firsthand knowledge of the communities he serves. He currently lives in Chappaqua and has previously called Katonah, Mount Kisco, and Rockland County home. Having moved numerous times himself and renovated and flipped homes along the way, John developed a longtime interest in real estate and an appreciation for how much the right home can impact quality of life. Whether helping sellers successfully position their homes for the market or guiding buyers toward the right home and community, his goal is to make the process as informed, smooth, and rewarding as possible.
