Collin Lyle Howard is a proud New Jersey native who has called New York City home for the past 13 years. He is a graduate of the Hartt School at The University of Hartford, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music Theatre. Making the bold decision to not return home after graduating college, like many of his peers, he moved to New York, mere hours after accepting his diploma, armed with ambition and tenacity! These would become his defining characteristics. Like many, Collin pounded the pavement, chasing his dream and has worked successfully, gracing stages across the country and throughout New York City. The New York Times has called his voice, "booming and effective." To supplement his career in entertainment, he began working in the restaurant industry, honing skills that would prove valuable later in life. With his unique style, upbeat attitude and natural connection with others, Collin has worked for some of the most celebrated chefs and restaurateurs in the country including: Bobby Flay (Bar Americain), Dan Kluger (Loring Place) and Sam Hazen (Veritas). He has been fortunate to be a part of the opening teams of successful restaurants including Fig & Olive, Tavern On The Green, and most recently, the aforementioned, Loring Place. In addition, the restaurants in which he has served have been honored with multiple prestigious awards including those presented by The James Beard Foundation and Michelin Guide.
Focusing (but not limited) in East and West Harlem, as well as the Bronx, Collin hopes to elevate the community in which he not only works but lives while maintaining the unique energy and flavor that "Uptown" has to offer. As a self prescribed "culture enthusiast," Collin believes that the best part about living above 110th Street is discovering and in some cases, re-discovering an ever changing cultural landscape. To him, real estate is not just about buying and selling but creating a better community in which we all must live. He looks forward to guiding clients through the process with compassion and an open heart!
