Dynamic and well-rounded real estate veteran Mark O'Brien brings a keen eye for value and opportunity to each and every engagement, thanks to his strong background in residential property development, building and business. As a developer, a licensed New Home Builder and a licensed real estate professional, Mark has an enviable talent for finding the right location, at the right time and at the right price, resulting in record-breaking sales and profits throughout New York, Connecticut and even New Zealand.
Having lived and worked in New York City for more than 30 years, Mark is able to advise his buyers and sellers on the all-important, yet often imperceptible, nuances of each neighborhood. Intelligent and congenial, Mark deftly discerns whether clients gravitate toward a feel-the-action, center-of-it-all lifestyle, or a more bucolic neighborhood vibe. And, armed with that knowledge, he delivers options that match their needs exactly. He has a knack for finding the city's hidden gems and is driven by creating real value on behalf of his grateful and loyal clientele.
In addition to his real estate savvy, Mark is a successful entrepreneur who, in 1987, started his own highly profitable executive search firm in New York City. From there, he headed several successful real estate ventures in Greenwich, Connecticut, before transplanting his family to New Zealand, where he continued his real estate investment and development career. During that time, with a strong belief in the power of "Made in New Zealand," Mark also created a New Zealand vodka brand, Broken Shed Vodka, and currently sits on its board of directors.
A graduate of Iona College in New Rochelle, New York, Mark is a resident of the East Village and has five children … so, he works a lot.
