Debra Trevarthen became a realtor in 2003 after 20 years in the Food and Hospitality Industry. While managing her start-up Corporate Event Planning business in Chicago and working full time as a Sales and Marketing manager for a start-up FoodService Marketing firm, she coordinated 7 of her own moves.
The many skills that she used while managing her Corporate Catering business and juggling her Corporate Marketing position also pertained to her own relocations. She excelled in Time Management. Her tenacious business skills allowed her to present to Fortune 100 CEO's across the country and sent IFMATRAC to the forefront of Food and Service Marketing. Because of Debra's passion for exploration, researching new home markets was quite natural.
As a 3rd generation Californian, Debra knows the importance of great schools, how to select the right one, and how to stay involved. Through Debra'a involvement with the school system(s) she has learned how to PRESENT an idea, get it ACCEPTED, and see it through COMPLETION-all while diplomatically handling many different personalities. She and her husband have three children, one of whom is Special Needs.
Her proficient skills as a writer and speaker allow her to present offers in a very organized, professional manner. Her enthusiasm exudes when listing a home for sale. Houses are not just ordinary houses. She adds her skills as a Corporate Event planner, whether the house is an $800,000 listing or a $3,000,000 home. She showcases properties in a very unique fashion. It's not uncommon to find a personal chef in one of her homes-showcasing the kitchen to prospective buyers. Her time management skills allow her to stay on track and keep all parts of a sale moving forward-from Escrow opening to handling all of the Inspections to recording Title. Debra is involved to the end.
