As Vice President at Compass, Theodore advises clients on Multifamily, Retail, Industrial, and Residential properties out of the firm’s San Jose office. He specializes in guiding investors through acquisitions, dispositions, and long-term portfolio strategies using a relationship-based brokerage approach focused on clarity, discipline, and execution.
With more than 12 years of real estate experience, Theodore brings broad expertise across multifamily, retail, industrial, office, hospitality, and residential properties, including extensive experience with 1031 exchanges. He began his full-time brokerage career at Marcus & Millichap specializing in retail investment sales, and after joining Compass Commercial in 2019, expanded his practice to include additional asset classes, giving him a well-rounded, cross-asset perspective. This background allows him to advise clients on market fundamentals, location analysis, and risk-adjusted decision-making.
Prior to brokerage, Theodore worked as a Property Manager and Asset Manager for multiple Bay Area real estate investment firms, overseeing retail and residential portfolios. His familiarity with rent control ordinances in San Francisco, San Jose, Oakland, and statewide California regulations further positions him to advise owners of income-producing assets.
Theodore is an active member of the California Apartment Association, the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the San Francisco Association of Realtors, the Santa Clara County Association of Realtors, and the Las Vegas Association of Realtors. He also holds the prestigious CCIM designation, earned by fewer than 10% of commercial real estate investors and advisors.
