In 1993 the electrical wiring and air conditioning system were replaced, its two baths were renovated and carpet was laid. A 50-gallon GE water heater was installed in 2004 and the RUUD air conditioning compressor unit was installed in 2005. The screened front porch leads inside to a cozy, sun-filled sitting room where washer and dryer service was added in approximately 2007. At the front of the home off of the sitting room is a generous bedroom with closet. As with many cottages of this period, it adjoins another room currently used as a living room that features a closet as well as access to the first of two baths. Beside it is the eat-in kitchen with sink, refrigerator and electric range. The range was added in approximately 2007 as well. Off of the kitchen is a mud room with door leading to the back yard which also features access to the second bath. The back yard could easily accommodate the addition of a pool. Inside once again, an additional bedroom adjoins the kitchen on its south side that also features access to the sitting room. In addition to its close proximity to the Gulf, it is approximately the same distance from the public dock on Western Lake at the east end of Hotz Avenue, as well as the iconic Red Bar, also on nearby Hotz Avenue. This cottage truly recalls an earlier time and simpler way of life, but one that many still wish to enjoy in the relaxed surroundings found in Grayton Beach, Florida.
