Andrea comes to Compass after practicing in real estate in Burlingame and following a successful and lengthy career in education and non-profit fundraising for colleges and universities, private schools, and non-profits on the peninsula and in San Francisco. As a seasoned fundraising professional, her experience includes securing major gifts, strategic planning, and C-level coaching. With close to 30 years of experience, she understands the need to maintain strong relationships and partnerships when working with high net-worth individuals and private.
Andrea has successfully contributed her professional skills to a wide range of institutions and programs at the leadership level. She is comfortable and skilled at soliciting or partnering with trustees to identify and secure commitments up to $5,000,000 from San Francisco and Silicon Valley donors. Early in her career, Andrea was the managing fundraiser for UCSF's Mission Bay Campus $210M Phase 1. Most recently, she helped secure the final stage fundraising for SFMOMA's new $665M facility. Clients further include The Boys and Girls Club of No. San Mateo County, the Nature Conservancy-California, Samaritan House, Aragon High School, Mid-Peninsula High School, and Windmill Preschool and Woodside Priory, both in Portola Valley.
In real estate and fundraising, Andrea believes the highest ethical standards are required when serving the needs and goals of clients and donors. Repeatedly, what starts as a business transaction turns into a long-term, trusting relationship.
As a native of San Francisco and a long-time resident of Burlingame, she has deep ties to the local community. She embraces the philosophy that thoughtful, thorough communication and respect build successful partnerships with clients and donors. In real estate, she believes the best way to serve clients is to maintain in-depth knowledge of neighborhoods' characteristics. As a result, to engage and contribute to the communities she is serving professionally or as a volunteer. Her thorough understanding of neighborhoods and communities along the peninsula allows her to match clients' financial goals, interests, and family needs to the ideal community, neighborhood, and home.
Andrea graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, and shares her home with a very furry white dog named Blue.
