About Mary Emma
Having grown up in San Antonio, Mary Emma returned to Texas in 2000 to attend The University of Texas School of Law. For the next ten years, she practiced law and developed her career in the legal world. During this time, she became familiar with many neighborhoods of Austin by living in Pemberton Heights, Bryker Woods, Hyde Park, Travis Country, and Westlake Hills. Since 2004, she has owned five personal homes and remodeled three to the studs with great success each time. In fact, the recent sale of her historic Pemberton Heights home garnered record-breaking pricing statistics for the neighborhood. The process was personally rewarding and financially lucrative on every occasion and gave her expertise in understanding a home’s potential and the renovation process.
Mary Emma also ardently fosters a passion for interior design that dates prior to the inception of interior design blogs. This insight has led Mary Emma to serve as a design consultant on various clients’ own home renovations. She is also frequently retained to help stage houses.
In early 2017, once her children entered school five days a week, her passion for homes and their potential fueled Mary Emma to pursue a career in real estate. Mary Emma became a licensed REALTOR and initiated her career at one of Austin’s top luxury residential brokerages. The experience of assisting in over 30 transactions coupled with her law degree makes her uniquely prepared to handle real estate contracts through to closing.
Mary Emma currently resides near Mount Bonnell and her children’s schools, Casis Elementary and Good Shepherd Episcopal School. When Mary Emma is not practicing real estate or re-arranging furniture and décor, you can find her spending time with her three spirited young boys, walking their puppy, and taking advantage of Austin’s live music and restaurant scene. She also actively supports her children’s schools, the Elizabeth Ann Seton Board, Dell Children’s Council, Good Shepherd, and Friends of the Children.
