"Would highly recommend Carla and her associates. They got to work quickly on our home to make it more attractive via virtual staging. They utilized many methods to attract potential buyers. Within 3 weeks, we had an excellent offer. Carla was very skilled throughout the negotiation and closing processes. She was also pleasant, good humored, and straight forward. I would recommend her without hesitation! Thank you to Carla and Lauren!" - Cheryl
"I have purchased many properties over the years and worked with many agents. I'm new to Austin and I have to say, I clicked with Carla right away and she was amazing to work with. Since she has a long history here in Austin, she is a wealth of knowledge and resources. She really helped me narrow down my search of neighborhoods very quickly as I really had no idea when I first started looking. She's down to earth, listened to my wants/needs and really understood what I was looking for. She was very pro-active in finding homes to view and found me my perfect home. During the actual buying process she was there every step and negotiated on point for me. I had a perfect buying experience with Carla and as long as I am in the Austin area, she will be my Realtor for any future home purchases or sales."
"We were out of town buyer. For more than 2 months Carla filtered through all the houses on sale and sent us emails on the ones met our requirements and when we finally came to town she spent whole weekend with us and after we decided on a house she worked and negotiated and helped us successfully beated other buyers and secured the one house we like in 2 hours. She is a very professional realtor, works proficiently with great knowledge and skill. We are very lucky to have her help us buying a house we like."
"Carla helped us sell our home (10 days) in Horseshoe Bay Texas, as well as helped us find our new home in Horseshoe Bay. She was very professional but always had our satisfaction at the top of her list. We would highly recommend Carla as the elite agent she is. There is no doubt in our minds that any real estate buyer or seller would be 100% satisfied with her performance." - Tony
"When it comes to my real estate transactions, Carla is my go-to expert. I've worked with her since 2008 on multiple transactions and every time, despite very different parameters, she's handled each with clarity and expertise beyond my expectations. I could not imagine not having her on my side as she is truly my best advocate."

Carla strives to give each client honest advice and personalized attention regardless of their price range, home size or location. She appreciates the thrill of finding the right property and selling a home, but she finds the most rewarding in the relationships that are formed during a transaction. Most of Carla’s business stems from repeat and referral clientele and she represents a wide variety of clients ranging from first time home buyers, designers and architects, developers and luxury clientele.
Prior to entering the world of real estate, Carla attended the University of Texas at Austin and received her bachelor’s degree in Social Work. Carla worked first hand with families to help children escape abuse and neglect during her tenure as a caseworker with Child Protective Services. This work taught her the importance of kindness and advocacy during times of crisis and negotiation. The families she assisted during her time as a caseworker made a significant impact in the way Carla treats others and influenced her to make a difference in this community.
Casework was not Carla’s first experience in giving back. The Umlauf family has a long tradition of philanthropy. In 1985, her grandparents, Charles and Angie Umlauf, donated their home, artist studio, and acreage above Barton Springs to the City of Austin and founded the Umlauf Sculpture Garden & Museum. Carla continues to honor her grandparents’ legacy by having served on the nonprofit's Board of Trustees, organizing pop-up art exhibits, sculpture dedications and hosting lectures in support of the arts and architecture.
