    About Bill

A native of Grosse Pointe, Michigan, Bill graduated from Hillsdale College with a BA in accounting before making his way down to Washington, DC in 1992 to act as assistant comptroller of a presidential campaign. After several years working in the political realm, Bill returned home to obtain his law degree from the University of Detroit School of Law. Upon graduation in 1996, Bill returned to Washington, DC, where he worked in the corporate department of a large international law firm.

In 1997, Bill stumbled upon and purchased his first three unit apartment building on 17th Street, NW in Adams Morgan and was bitten by the real estate bug. Since then, Bill has spent his spare time tracking down multi-unit investment opportunities, and building up his own real estate investment portfolio. Seeking an opportunity to transition more completely into the real estate world, Bill joined a fledgling mortgage company in 1999. As Vice President, Bill was instrumental in growing it into one of the largest mortgage brokerages and lenders in the Metropolitan Washington, DC area. In addition to loan origination process management, Bill oversaw the marketing and financial aspects of the company.

During the mortgage boom of the first decade of the new century, Bill continued to hone his passion for real estate in Washington, DC by putting his own expertise to work as he helped friends and family to navigate transactions of their own. That experience empowered Bill to launch a successful career as a Realtor that endures today.

Bill currently resides in Mclean, Virginia after having enjoyed many years living in Alexandria, VA, and in Eastern Market, Capitol Hill. Bill is married to wife Mary-Lacey and has three children: Frank, Emily, and Catherine. He enjoys playing and recording his electric guitar—which he has owned since his early teen years—and is currently experimenting with the banjo for a change of pace. When he’s not spending time with his family and friends, he loves and lives all things real estate.
