She began her career in commercial real estate then transitioned into residential real estate in 2005 and has closed over $650 million in transactions. Laura has lectured on Real Estate Investment and Marketing at her alma mater, Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia, been interviewed about the Washington market by "The Washington Post," and frequently publishes articles on metro area real estate. She was also recognized by "Trulia" and "Realtrends" as one of the top real estate agents in America.
Laura's client-only contacts for the best of the best industry resources from settlement companies, home inspectors, contractors, and interior designers to life essentials -- pediatricians, dentists, veterinarians, etc. Her personal experience with these vendors helps her clients continue to have a positive experience and professional work beyond the purchase of their home through Laura.
Laura donates a portion of each of her commissions to favorite charities. She served as Parents' Association President from 2015-2018 and is a member of the Board of Directors of Washington Episcopal School, serves on the Board of Directors of the Washington Nationals Youth Baseball Academy and on the board of the Steuart Family Council. In the past, she has served on the board of the Washington & Lee University DC Alumni Chapter, the Teen and Young Adult Health Connection of Montgomery County, was a founding member of the nursery committee at Washington National Cathedral, and as Auction co-chair and a room parent at her children’s schools.
Laura lives in McLean, Virginia with her husband, two children and three dogs. When she is not working for and with her clients, you can find her running along the Capital Crescent trail, volunteering at WES, working for the Nat's Academy or plotting her next lab puppy litter rescue mission.
