Stan began his real estate practice in 2009 with Long & Foster after a successful sales and marketing career in the hospitality industry and as a fundraising executive for several major Washington-based nonprofit and educational organizations, including the Urban Land Institute (ULI) and Johns Hopkins University. In making the move to Compass, Stan aims to enhance his marketing expertise, real estate knowledge and negotiating skills with the leading-edge technology platforms that Compass has developed since its inception in 2013. Stan believes that the best-in-class products and tools that Compass provides to its agents will enable him to provide the very best service to his clients.
A DC resident since 1992, Stan grew up in Atlanta, Georgia, and graduated from the College of William & Mary in Virginia. Stan has lived in New York City, San Francisco and South Florida, and has had the opportunity to travel the world, visiting over 35 countries in the Americas, Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. His love of discovering different cultures (and their cuisine!) makes Washington a perfect place to call home. Besides travel and cooking, Stan's other major passion is music. He currently sings as a Baritone with the Washington Men's Camerata; previously he sang with the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington. Stan and his partner, Bill, live in a pre-war coop building near the National Cathedral in northwest DC, and he is one of Washington's leading Realtors specializing in the coop and condo market.
Stan loves the real estate business. His only regret is that he did not enter the field decades ago. His knowledge, integrity and commitment to providing exceptional service to all of his clients make working with Stan a first-class experience on every level.
