After a Minnesota childhood, Susan and her husband spent a two year honeymoon as Peace Corps volunteers in Sierra Leone, W. Africa. Graduate studies in Library and Information Science (U. Chicago) led to her successful career as academic librarian (Hampshire, Franconia, Middlebury) and an electronic publishing executive.
But finally, having spent years in the creation and marketing of academic databases, she allowed herself to pursue her lifelong passion for architecture and real estate.
She considers her work as a Realtor to be a practical and fascinating extension of the librarian’s role - listening carefully, then conducting research to bring the right buyer together with the right property. And when she represents a seller, she uses her extensive marketing and design skills that make her approach to selling unique.
Her passion for Design led her to establish, with her Corcoran Professor husband, a nonprofit organization- Design Information Alliance - dedicated to discovery and documentation of design research resources.
Susan has lived in the DC area for over 30 years, raising her three sons here.
