    " I feel exceptionally fortunate to have retained Dee to help me locate and purchase a place for my son and daughter-in-law to call home in the East Bay. I found myself in a sellers’ market like I have never previously experienced. A list price seemed nothing more than a suggested starting bid for a home in an auction in which one is dept. ignorant of the amount of competitive offers. And that was usually for a 75 to 110-year-old home that was the victim of deferred maintenance for many decades. Yet, listing agents seemed to be able to manipulate the market so as to create an artificial “feeding frenzy” in which buyers would not only pay any price for a run-down property but abandon their right to inspect it so they would have some idea of what they were buying.

    Dee helped me keep my sanity during the process, and consistently counseled me not to allow my decision-making to be swayed by emotion. In this regard, she assisted me in doing my “due diligence”, on any home for which I considered making an offer, and advised me to be prepared to walk away from the deal if we could not buy it for an amount we deemed reasonable after doing our inspections. This methodology and advice was clearly far more in my interest than Dee’s, because it resulted in our walking away from a number of transactions upon which she would have received a commission. But when that proved necessary, she was always willing to get back in the care to assist me in locating another home that would suit the needs of my family.

    We ultimately succeeded in locating a home in Richmond, CA that we are very happy with at a reasonable price. But the purchase process was not an easy one. It required Dee not only to be my advisor, but my advocate in dealings with the listing agent and seller. It was only because of her good judgement and “people skills” that we successfully closed the transaction.

    In short, I can tell you that if you are a buyer in this difficult market, you could not better than to retain Dee as your agent. She is smart, ethical, hardworking, personable and absolutely dedicated to representing the interests of her clients.
