My roots in Santa Cruz date back to visiting my great Aunt and Uncle, Zia and Zio, here in Santa Cruz with my family when I was a child. I remember thinking of Santa Cruz as a fantasy place with the beach, boardwalk, and cool summer weather. Residing here for more than 20 years now (except for an interesting year in Tokyo, Japan) I still can scarcely believe I live in this amazing place.
