About Ellie
Ellie’s enthusiasm and experience combine to bring homeowners and buyers the support and expertise they critically need. For more than 18 years, Ellie has served her clients using innovative marketing tools, creative videos and property-specific websites to showcase her listings. She passionate about helping her buyers to find their dream home. Her unique marketing plans have been showcased by media outlets such as the Washington Post, Baltimore Sun, and Chevy Chase Village Life, as well as featured on several online platforms. She is thrilled to be among the agents at Compass who collaborate, share and support one another.

Raised in Oklahoma City, Ellie headed east to Chapel Hill and was graduated in 1990 with a degree in public relations/journalism. Right away, she moved to the DC metro area where she fell in love with the community, and shortly thereafter fell in love with her husband, John, a DC native. They are the parents of two grown children: Jack (a member of The Shorb Team at Compass) and Catherine, who now resides in NY.

Ellie's sense of community and love for her Kenwood neighborhood have led to participation in numerous acts of volunteerism and support of local charitable endeavors. She and John enjoy travel for both work and play, and being a part of the DC metro area's vibrant community.
