About Emma
Emma, originally from a small town in Connecticut, took a chance at 21 and discovered the allure of Block Island's community when she moved to the island one summer to work as a waitress. Four summers and a winter later, she knew it was where she wanted to spend her life. Having worked primarily in the hospitality industry for the last ten years, Emma considers herself a versatile professional. Working in restaurants and hotels has helped her form relationships with people from all over the world. She has a natural passion for helping others, and her favorite thing about life is connecting with people!
Driven by her adventurous spirit, Emma backpacked through Southeast Asia, explored Australia, visited Sri Lanka, traveled across Ireland, and more. Now, in addition to working in real estate, Emma is the assistant to the Tourism Director for The Block Island Tourism Council. Within her role, she writes monthly blog posts and manages the social media accounts, ensuring a vibrant and engaging experience for all that are about to visit the Island.
