Jennifer Ponzini is adept at listening, understanding her clients' needs and expectations, and helping them achieve their goals through experience, industry knowledge and communication.
A lifelong resident of Long Island, Jennifer was raised in Nassau County, moved to Suffolk County, and eventually relocated to the East End to raise her children. She is a community activist whose involvements have included serving as Sag Harbor Elementary School PTA President, and as an active board member of the Sag Harbor Village Zoning Board of Appeals. As part of Jennifer’s business, she campaigns to pay it forward and donates a portion of the commission she earns to a non-profit charity of the buyer or seller’s choice, in their name. Jennifer has always made it her mission to donate to non-profit organizations.
Jennifer began her real estate career at age sixteen working for a title company. After graduating from Hofstra University with a BA in American Literature and Secondary Education, and earning her Juris Doctorate from St. John’s School of Law, Jennifer joined a prominent law firm plus maintained her own law practice focusing on real estate law. She practiced law for over 15 years in insurance defense litigation, real estate, and as a court referee in foreclosure proceedings. Jennifer has extensive knowledge of title issues, contract negotiations and real estate closing matters. As an attorney and a real estate broker, she joined Compass after working for Corcoran in Sag Harbor. Jennifer is admitted to the New York State Bar and the United States Eastern & Southern Districts. Her experience in law and real estate adds a wealth of knowledge and experience to Compass.
