About Heather

Heather Yampolsky spent over seven years in real estate before joining the team at Compass. She had the highest townhouse sale listing in her former company, plus handled rentals representing loyal landlords and tenants as well. Heather has primarily worked in Brooklyn but has also done deals in Manhattan and Queens. Having lived all over these boroughs gives her a distinct advantage.

“I love New York City for its interesting people, vibrant neighborhoods, and architecture. As a listing agent and buyer’s agent, my duty is to educate my clients on the changing markets and guide them to the best options for their unique needs. My approach is ethical, honest, and no-nonsense, and people appreciate that. At the end of the day it’s important to me that everyone is happy, both with the quality of service and the results they receive.”

Born in New York City and raised in a NJ suburb, Heather earned a BFA degree from University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Prior to real estate, she worked in fashion and textile design for 20 years. Her art and design background give her a keen eye for understanding her clients’ visions.

Clients love working with Heather because she’s hardworking, reliable, and gets the job done. She goes above and beyond for her customers and has as much patience as required to ensure a satisfying outcome.

Heather has called Brooklyn home for 30 years and has owned/lived in Bedford-Stuyvesant for the past decade. She’s also resided in Williamsburg, Red Hook, Astoria, Queens, and in Manhattan in Soho and the East Village. Heather is a mom of both children and dogs. She likes travel adventures, gardening, knitting and cooking in her free time.
