Born and raised in Santa Barbara, Hutch offers clients something that's increasingly rare: a lifetime of local knowledge, practical real estate experience, and a genuine commitment to the community he calls home.

A graduate of UCSB's College of Creative Studies with highest honors, Hutch spent nearly two decades living and working in Europe and New York before returning home to manage and improve his family's real estate portfolio. That hands-on experience with renovations, investment, and property management gives him a practical perspective that extends far beyond the transaction.

Today, Hutch proudly represents buyers and sellers with Compass throughout Santa Barbara and the surrounding communities, including Montecito, Hope Ranch, Goleta, Carpinteria, and Summerland. Known for listening first and putting relationships ahead of transactions, he's just as willing to recommend walking away from the wrong property as he is to negotiate tirelessly for the right one. He believes the best measure of success isn't a closed sale, it's a client who still feels they made the right decision years later.

As President of the Mission Canyon Association, Hutch is deeply involved in protecting the community he has called home his entire life. Whether improving wildfire preparedness, preserving open space, or helping clients find the neighborhood that best fits their lifestyle, he believes great real estate is ultimately about taking care of people and the place they call home.

When he's not working, you'll usually find Hutch hiking the Santa Barbara foothills or exploring the Los Padres backcountry with his Dog, Allove. Spending time on the area's trails and open spaces keeps him connected to the community he loves and the lifestyle he enjoys helping his clients discover.
