Ian, who comes from a real estate family and completed a Master's degree in Economics and Global Finance, can provide valuable guidance to his buyers and sellers from both technical macro/micro and personal viewpoints. His daily market analysis of trends and comparable properties are tailored to the needs of his clients so they have a deep understanding of the facts, figures and best options for their needs.
Ian makes himself available to his clients 24/7. In addition to the buying and selling of co-ops and condos, he also represents rentals, plus has experience in evaluating the purchase of small NYC multi-unit investment apartment buildings. Having been involved with real estate all his life, his most interesting endeavor was while working with investors, purchasing multiple lots underneath the Atlantic Ocean in Westhampton after a major storm, with the vision that the army corps of engineers would reclaim the land and then build upon it.
Ian has specialized in Lincoln Square, Midtown West, the Upper West Side, Upper East Side and Northern Manhattan, but works in all neighborhoods. Whether it be your first home or an ultra-luxury residence, he brings a keen eye for value and an innate ability to match every client with the right property. Ian has helped direct (and lived through!) 10 major renovations over the past decade, decorating over 100 rooms. He understands the improvements necessary to attract buyers and positively impact a sale.
"It is a pleasure to work in a field I love. My passion for real estate, coupled with my background in finance and economics, make me a uniquely knowledgeable agent. Do due diligence, be available, handhold, recognize the different stages of a sale and persevere are my daily mottos."
Married with two dogs at home, Ian enjoys working out and boating in his free time. He loves spending time in the city and out in the Hamptons where he had five family homes.
