About Jim
Jim Murrey was born in Washington DC and grew up outside of Philadelphia, PA where he graduated from Penn State with Bachelor of Architecture Degree.
He has since been blessed with two wonderful children, a son and a daughter, who have matured into two very successful adults with a combined 6 children. They now are living in Omaha and Denver. In Jim's earlier years, he worked as an Architect until the call to be in real estate moved him into the commercial business in Washington, DC.
Working with some of the Nations largest law firms and accounting firms he polished the fine art of negotiation which has served him well ever since.
In 2000 he moved to Orcas Island, WA and bought a RE/MAX office there with a partner. They turned it into the largest and best real estate office on the Island and he realized what a joy it is to help clients find their dream house or sell their home to one who was looking for that same dream. Deciding that a little more sun might be nice, he moved to San Diego in 2010 and has been actively practicing customer driven real estate ever since.
He was also very fortunate to meet his wife McKenzie, who is also in real estate. They are married and are raising her two teenage boys together. They are also raising the most wonderful puppy, Charlie, who they rescued, and everyone they meet should all take a page from his total show of appreciation for the life he has!
This summer they are hosting, for the first time, an exchange student from Spain and are thoroughly enjoying the time he has been with them. Jim his extremely dedicated to providing each of his clients with the highest level of professional service while achieving their goals and providing them an enjoyable and relatively stress free transaction.
